[ Not that Armand is really much of a Christmas celebrator, as it were, except occasionally in concert alongside others who are, but never mind that; enough people seem observant of the Judeo-Christian winter holidays here that, if only for appearances and propriety's sake, Armand would feel somewhat remiss not to make the gesture towards those he has become reasonably friendly with, in the event they might see not doing so as a slight, or at the very least a mark of rudeness, rather than simple non-participation in a tradition that has never been, nor felt like, his own.
Alexander is not among those Armand imagines would in either case (and besides, he has already gone to the trouble of giving Armand a very lovely gift of his own, as well) but he will find at the base of his tree three impeccably gift-wrapped combs made of mother-of-pearl, ivory, and gold and ivory respectively, accompanied by a small, square card simply marked "— 𝓐". ]
